Weather View 32
User Defined External Image Object
Have you ever wanted to include
a Skycam image along with weather data on your website? Well, here's your chance!
This feature allows you to inlcude any image from any frame grabber device into a Weatherview 32 screen or TV display. Plus, you can also OVERLAY sensor readings such as temperatures, wind speed, etc onto the snapshot. It works with most popular Windows 95/98 frame grabbers susch as the Snappy and the ATI All in Wonder. You'll also need an external program such as Webcam32 or the Snappy Deluxe Software to make snapshots at regular intervals.
WeatherShop sells these items along with complete turnkey systems already configured. See the Pricing section.
The automated FTP upload feature of WeatherView 32 can also simply "send along" the webcam image, without including it in a Weatherview screen or overlay, as part of a scheduled transfer. This makes it easy to send the entire elements contents of a weather page on a regular schedule.
WeatherView 32 can coexist and run with these programs and frame grabber hardware on the same machine...just be sure to have at least 32MB of memory (64 preferred) and a minimum of a 166 mHz Pentium class processor.
This object consists of a user selected picture (BMP or JPG) which will be displayed on the Weather View 32 desktop. Very useful if you are utilizing the FTP feature of Weather View 32 and have a web cam attached to your computer. The contents of the picture will be updated whenever you begin monitoring the weather or load a different Weather View 32 display configuration file. The contents will also be updated each minute. The object allows setting the displayed size of the image via several methods.
