Automated METAR Site Data Collection Properties

This is a Professional Version Feature only. Up to 150 METAR sites may be defined for automatic polling via FTP. A The National Weather Service  FTP site stores the latest conditions for thousands of sites across the United States and the world. The data is "public domain" and free for your use! In fact, you can purchase the "NetMonitor" Pro version of the software and you can run it using only METAR data...no physical weather station is required at your location!

These NWS METAR sites are generally updated once a hour. WV32 collects this data and allows the user to display the data via the extensive set of objects that can be placed on the Real-Time Monitoring Screen. Additional, the past 24 hours history for each site can be shown graphically using a Trend Graph.

METAR data can be displayed on web pages and TV displays automatically.

Two WV32 objects have been created exclusively for use with METAR site data, See the last 2 images for details. Web Screen 2 and Web Screen 3 contain METAR data.
